New Corvette - Turning Heads

The 2002 Chevy Corvette is wowing the experts. With its superior combination of power and control, the new Corvette is the unabashed "King of the Road." Don't take our word for it, read the latest review from Car+Driver magazine.

Service Tip of the Month -- Follow Your Service Schedule

It may sound like common sense, but following the service schedule outlined in your owner's manual will help you save money and increase the life of your vehicle. Over the years, we have found that many owners do oil changes too frequently but change air filters infrequently. Most new GM vehicles can go 7,500 miles between oil changes. Changing more frequently costs you money while providing no improvement in performance or engine life. So don't listen to those "specialty oil change stores" that want you to come in every 3,000 miles. It's not necessary. Take it from the GM service pros and don't waste your money.

On the other hand, air filters should be changed every 15,000. Keep a record of when you change them to avoid confusion. There is a place to make such records in you owners manual. A dirty air filter will reduce gas mileage and cause engine damage. This is a real problem here in Idaho where blowing dust is commonplace.

Zero Percent Financing Extended by GMAC

GMAC, the financing unit of General Motors, announced that it is extending its offer of zero percent financing on select Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Buick models through January 2, 2002.

The "Keep America Rolling" zero percent program is the most aggressive financing promotion in history. It saves the average carbuyer thousands of dollars over the term of the loan. Now is definitely the time to look at the affordability of a new General Motors car or truck.
